Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28th in 1967) was an American performer and actress. Wuhrer started her acting career when she was in her teens. Her best-known character was for her role as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as her role as the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has three siblings. When she was in her teens, she performed at nightclubs by sneaking from the house. At the Wooster School at 13 years old She began her studies in acting. Later, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University, Marymount Manhattan College located at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London with the well-known teacher Uta Hagen.
