Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson, an American singer-songwriter director and producer is also a writer. Most famously, she is best known for her role in her role in the TV drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Tara Maclay. She also produced, directed and appeared in her own films Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Additionally, she was Bride in Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was born January 8 1977, in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle is her elder sister and an artist. The father of her is Jewish as is her mom. She raised Southern Baptist Benson grew up attending a Reform synagogue located in Alabama. After Buffy came to an end, Benson has been in movies such as The Killing Jar and on shows like Morganville The Series. Behind the camera she put her writing skills into the Ghosts of Albion series and was the director on shows like the 2010's Drones. Buffy says that around 1800 Slayers exist across the globe with 500 who are part of the Scooby Gang. Slayers can now be awakened as they reach their maturation. Soledad, for example was awakened on her 16th birthday. Ruth Connell plays Rowena, in the season of Supernatural 10 Apparently, Rowena is a witch from the past.
